Support Local Music

We love going to see local acts rock out at area venues every chance we can which is never as often as we would like. Let's face it - all of us have lives outside of going to shows. We get it. We have careers, families, mortgages, school and family obligations, band rehearsal, and we cannot make it out to shows every single weekend. We make it a point when we play live to get there early enough to see the opening act and stay all the way to the end of the closing act - that's the least we can do but we want to do more to support local music.

Every show we attend will be posted here. We will talk about each band, their style, their strong points, and where possible we will include links to their social media so you can check them out as well. If you have a band you want us to check out send us an email and tell us about it. If you are in a band let us know when you are playing and we will do what we can to come out and see you play - send us links to your social media as well. If you went to a gig and discovered a new band key us in so we can check them out too.

Ultimately we would like to be able to interview the bands themselves and share their story here for everyone to be able to read. We truly enjoy talking to other bands and are looking forward to talking with as many of them as we can. It may take a minute to develop that interview process but it is definitely on the table for our course of action. There are ton of amazing bands/musicians out there with a lot to share.

Rock Hollywood

Once again SHED's Bobby Ingals got out to catch another local show - this time he caught Rok Hollywood.  According to Bobby the boys in Rok Hollywood tore the house down with their rendition of Badlands "Dreams in the Dark."  These guys have played everywhere with everyone.  Take a look through their Facebook page to get an idea of how amazing these guys are.

Spanky's Clubhouse at Ziggy's Bar & Grill 12-8-2018

Last night Bobby Ingals caught local favorites, Spanky's Clubhouse, at Ziggy's Bar & Grill on the southwest side of Indianapolis.  Ziggy's served up cold beer to go with the hot tunes from the band.  As always the guys put on a stellar show keeping everyone moving with such songs as Walk this Way, Killing in the Name of, Plush, Crazy Bitch, Far Behind and many others.

Bobby Ingals, guitarist for SHED, manages a quick selfie with Dean Cline of Spank'y Clubhouse in between sets.

One of the many things that make Spanky's Clubhouse such a great band is their approach-ability.  They are always chatting up with the audience and making sure everyone is having a great time.

Spanky's Clubhouse maintains a busy show schedule and they are sure to play a venue near you soon.  They are definitely worth seeing as they are one of the few bands that accurately reproduce the songs they cover.  Great mix, great sound, great show, and just down to earth good guys.

Check out their show schedule here and make it a point to get out and see them.
